Villa Fest Subcommittee

Overview and Purpose

The Villa Fest Subcommittee is established to serve as an advisory body to the Village Board. The subcommittee is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Villa Park’s community events, including the village’s signature annual celebration, Villa Fest, as well as other events and festivities throughout the year.

The subcommittee will work collaboratively with other Village commissions and departments to promote civic pride, community engagement, and economic vitality through well-organized public events. Its mission is to celebrate Villa Park’s unique character, strengthen neighborhood connections, and create opportunities for residents, visitors, and businesses to come together in a spirit of unity and celebration.

This subcommittee succeeds the former Summer Fest Commission and reflects a broader, year-round vision for community celebrations under a refreshed identity: Villa Fest.

  • Plan, organize, and oversee Villa Fest, the Village’s annual summer celebration.
  • Develop and coordinate other village-sponsored community events throughout the year, such as parades, seasonal festivals, or special celebrations.
  • Work collaboratively with other Village commissions (e.g., F.U.N Commission, Garden Village Commission, etc.) to assist in planning and execution of their community events as requested.

Community Engagement and Outreach

  • Encourage resident and volunteer participation in Villa Park events.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to support events through sponsorships, donations, and collaboration.

Budgeting and Resource Development

  • Recommend annual budgets, sponsorship opportunities, and fundraising initiatives to support community events.
  • Seek grants or donations consistent with the Village’s fiscal and ethical guidelines.
