G.R.E.E.N. Commission

Responsibilities

The G.R.E.E.N. Commission (Growth that is sustainable, Resources protected, Environment enhanced, Energy efficiency, Natural areas preserved) is dedicated to promoting sustainability, environmental innovation, and resilience in Villa Park. The commission will serve as a strategic advisory body to the Village Board, focused on long-term solutions for reducing environmental impact, protecting natural assets, and integrating sustainable practices into the village’s economic development, infrastructure, and community planning. This commission moves beyond basic environmental awareness by proposing forward-thinking strategies, guiding policies, and developing partnerships that align with regional and global best practices in sustainability.
