Join the VFW each Friday from February 20 through April 3 in the Bergh Room. Doors open at 5:00 pm, with dinner served from 5:30–7:30 pm. Enjoy beer-battered walleye, shrimp, or combo meals, all served with your choice of baked beans or coleslaw and a baked potato or fries. Kids meals include chicken nuggets with fries. All meals include tax, and both cash and credit are accepted.

Annual Prairie Path Cleanup

Be part of the annual Illinois Prairie Path Cleanup on Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 am, held in celebration of Celebrate Trails Day and Earth Day! Volunteers will help clean all 62 miles of the Prairie Path in partnership with DuPage County, local municipalities, and community organizations. The Villa Park Community F.U.N Commission will welcome participants at the Historical Society Museum with supplies including garbage bags, gloves, and bottled water—plus coffee, hot chocolate, and light snacks to get you started. The Villa Park VFW Auxiliary is proud to partner in the 6th Annual Adopt A Soldier Fundraiser on Saturday, April 26. This year marks the first time VFW Post 2801 will host the event, and we invite the community to help make it the most successful one yet. This meaningful event supports the shipment of care packages to active-duty service members while also raising awareness about PTSD and its impact on those who serve our nation. Together, we can show our support and honor our troops—because 22 a day is 22 too many.
VFW Derby Day Fundraiser

Join the Villa Park VFW Auxiliary for their Derby Day Fundraiser on Saturday, May 2, from 1:00–7:00 pm at 39 E. St. Charles Rd. in Villa Park. This festive event celebrates the 152nd Run for the Roses with an afternoon of fun, food, and friendly competition. Admission is $15 in advance or $20 at the door and includes delicious finger foods and entry for door prizes. Guests can enjoy a cash bar featuring Derby favorites like mint juleps, bloody marys, and peach bourbon juleps, along with race-themed raffles and cash prizes. Dress to impress for costume contests, including Best Lady’s Hat, Most Dapper Man, and Best Couple. Proceeds support VFW Auxiliary initiatives, making this a great way to give back while enjoying a lively community event.
