Hokusai and Ukiyo-e: The Floating World

Hokusai Decal-07

Villa Park Joins "Waves of DuPage" Art Initiative

In celebration of the 2025 exhibition Hokusai and Ukiyo-e: The Floating World, the College of DuPage, McAninch Arts Center (MAC), and Cleve Carney Museum of Art (CCMA) have partnered with Naperville artist Rich Lo to launch Waves of DuPage—a public art initiative showcasing the diverse beauty of DuPage County communities, including Villa Park. Rich Lo is collaborating with towns across the county to create original ukiyo-e style artwork that highlights distinctive local landmarks. Each piece will be transformed into a large-scale mural and installed in the community it represents. These works will also be on display at the McAninch Arts Center from May 31 through September 21, 2025, as part of the Hokusai and Ukiyo-e exhibition.
