Some of the responsibilities of the Forestry Division include:
- Parkway Tree Limb Pickup
- Parkway Tree and Stump Removal

Parkway Trees
The division is also responsible for maintaining approximately 10,000 parkway trees. This includes the planting of new trees, tree removal, tree pruning, and seasonal mowing for weed control.

The Village is now accepting applications for parkway tree planting. Please note that this is a request. The Village will determine whether the parkway is eligible for tree placement based on its guidelines. If your request is approved, the location will be added to the Village’s annual Fall tree planting schedule, and the type of tree to be planted will be selected by the Village of Villa Park. Residents will be notified prior to the tree being planted. View FAQs here, and fill out an online application below.
Villa Park Tree Adoption Program
Residents can adopt a tree through our Parks & Recreation department, which is purchasing a tree to plant in either a Village park, parkway (public right-of-way), or the Sugar Creek Golf Course. If you would like to adopt a tree from one of our Parks, a leaf with your dedication will be placed at the Village Hall's board room. To learn more and fill out the online form, visit our Parks & Facilities website.
Tree City USA Award
The National Arbor Day Foundation has designated the Village of Villa Park a Tree City USA. It is the 40th consecutive year Villa Park has received this National recognition!
