Parks & Recreation Updates

Our Parks & Recreation department provides quality programming at all recreation facilities. Specific program information can be found in the seasonal activity guide and through the online registration site. We encourage you to register early so you will not be disappointed by a class being full or being canceled due to low enrollment. You can also register in person at The Villa Park Recreation Center, 320 E. Wildwood Avenue, Villa Park, IL 60181.

Our Commitment

We remain committed to providing the best recreation and leisure services to our community. With our "satisfaction guaranteed" pledge, residents and their guests can be assured that the staff at Villa Park Recreation Department will work to not only meet expectations but exceed them.

General Updates

Park Restrooms & Water Fountains Open May 1

Beginning Friday, May 1, all Village park restroom buildings and Prairie Path water fountains will officially open for the season.

The Lufkin Park splash pad will also re-open.

We can't wait to see everyone back out enjoying our parks and the beautiful Spring weather!

The Union Villa Park Construction

Construction activity related to The Union Villa Park near the Villa Park Recreation Center (320 E. Wildwood Ave.) is set to begin in late January, weather permitting, with demolition and initial site work. Construction fencing is now in place along Wildwood Ave., reducing street width and prompting temporary “No Parking” restrictions. The Village is working to make this area a permanent no-parking zone to ensure safe access to the VPRC.

Residents should expect increased construction traffic and periodic disruptions in the area.

We will continue to share updates about the construction of this project as it becomes available and as it pertains to the Villa Park Recreation Center. Thank you for your patience and understanding as this project moves forward.

VPRC Suggested Parking Map

Beginning Wednesday, October 15, the Lufkin Park splash pad and restrooms will be closed for the season.

All other restroom buildings at Village parks will also be closed, along with the drinking fountains on the Prairie Path. Twin Lakes restrooms will remain open while soccer and baseball are in season but will close once those activities conclude in early November.

We hope you had a great summer and start to fall, and we encourage you to continue enjoying our parks and trails throughout the cooler months!
