The health and safety of Villa Park residents and employees is the Village’s highest priority. Villa Park is committed to effective communication throughout the new challenges the COVID-19 pandemic brings. The COVID-19 outbreak is a rapidly evolving situation with new information becoming available every day. The information here is based upon the latest information available but remains subject to change. Free at-home rapid COVID-19 test kits are now available for order through the government site www.covidtests.gov. The CDC states that anyone who may have been exposed to someone with COVID should test 5 days after their exposure, or as soon as symptoms occur.

The Village of Villa Park is closely monitoring the recommendations from the DuPage County Health Department, the Illinois Department of Health, and the Center for Disease Control as such; all visitors to village facilities must wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth completely. This includes any members of the public looking to attend public board and/or commission meetings.
Despite the challenges of our current situation, the Village of Villa Park is committed to continue providing service to our community. We are working diligently to provide timely updates on any changes to Village facilities, protocols, or services. We appreciate your patience and are proud to serve our community at this time.
VILLA PARK RESTAURANTS
The Village will be adhering to State restrictions for local restaurants. Many local establishments are posting how they will continue to operate drive-up or drive-thru service and residents are encouraged to connect with individual locations and support local Villa Park businesses where practicable.

VILLAGE HALL AND MUNICIPAL OPERATIONS
The Village of Villa Park is committed to maintaining services during the COVID-19 response and is now accepting online payments for most services. No convenience fees will be charged for these online payments. Customers are encouraged to review the following information to determine which online payment service should be used for a particular payment.
Various Utility Bill Payment Options
Utility payments can be made through the Village website at www.invillapark.com or by calling 1-877-885-7968. Convenience fees are being waived.
Drop off payments can be taken via the Village drop box located in the Village Hall parking lot, Inland Bank located at 305 W. St. Charles Rd., or Johnson’s Lighthouse Point located at 1 W. St. Charles Rd.
Residents who are currently on the Direct Debit Program will still have their payments deducted on the utility bill due date.
Parking Permits / Building Permits / Places for Eating Tax / Miscellaneous Payments
Payments for parking permits, building permits, permit inspections, compliance inspections, places for eating tax, and other miscellaneous payments can be made via Square at https://invillapark.square.site/s/shop. Square cannot be used for payment of utility bills, Police tickets, or Recreation fees. Square accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Google Pay. Upon visiting the Square website, customers should select the service they are paying for, fill out the required information, and proceed to checkout. For services with variable pricing (i.e. building permits, sidewalk program payments, etc.), customers must enter the dollar amount of the payment in the quantity to be purchased. Convenience fees are being waived.
The Village is working with our provider to enable online payments for outstanding tickets. Payment information will be provided on www.invillapark.com once that is available. Please note, there may be a fee for paying these charges online.
In an effort to reduce potential exposure to personnel, if you or someone in your home has tested positive for COVID-19, or is exhibiting symptoms related to COVID-19 please bag your recyclables and place them in your trash/refuse cart. Please DO NOT add gloves or other medical supplies to recycling bins.

Is my sink water safe to drink?
The Village of Villa Park receives its water from the DuPage Water Commission. The DuPage Water Commission wants to remind its customers that tap water is safe to use and drink. Also, through proactive planning, the Commission has contingency plans in place to ensure continuity of operation during this pandemic. All customers will see their water continue to be available; no disruptions are expected due to the spread of the coronavirus. The Commission, through its treatment processes, routinely removes and inactivates or kills viruses. DuPage Water Commission Chairman Jim Zay stated, “I am concerned about the number of residents purchasing bottle water because of fears related to the current pandemic and want to reassure them that tap water is safe to drink.”
The Commission’s process follows established EPA regulations with treatment requirements for public water systems that prevent waterborne pathogens and viruses, including the coronavirus. These treatments include filtration (performed at Chicago’s Jardine Water Purification Plant) and disinfectants (performed at both the Jardine Plant and the Commission Pumping Station) to remove or kill pathogens and viruses.
Chlorine that is used as the disinfectant is extremely effective at killing viruses.
The Commission also works in partnership with public health agencies and other water agencies and organizations to share the latest information and best practices.
